Anger is a powerful emotion that can feel difficult to control. Some research has shown that women view anger as counterproductive and have often been socialized to think that anger is not an appropriate feeling  to experience.  Women have a great deal of daily stress that they have to manage which can include having a career,  making effective transitions between work and home, and raising children.  These stressors can lead to feeling angry.

Individuals who cannot effectively regulate their anger can suffer from a variety of health and relationship problems. It is important for women to understand and accept their anger, and to learn healthy coping strategies to manage their anger.    The Anger Management Program under the auspices of Outlook Associates of New England provides an opportunity for women to understand the dynamics of anger, and learn techniques that can be used to improve her capability to express anger assertively.
